The TASCAM CD-400U is a versatile 1U rackmount media player designed for professional installations such as stores, schools, conference rooms, and broadcast facilities. It combines traditional and modern playback sources in one reliable unit, supporting CD, SD card, USB flash drive, Bluetooth® wireless audio from smartphones/tablets, and built-in AM/FM radio tuner.
Key features include balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA analog outputs for flexible integration, plus a dedicated RCA tuner output for separate zoning. The Power On Play function automatically starts playback when powered up—ideal for daily scheduled operation—while the panel lock prevents accidental button presses.
Remote control is available via the included wireless remote or through the standard RS-232C serial port. An optional Ethernet card (scheduled for future release) will add network control capability.
