The Bespeco Silos SLAD230 is an adaptor with a 6.3 mm stereo jack plug on one side and two 3.5 mm stereo jack sockets on the other.
Two mini jacks off one full size jack
Headphone outputs on mixers, amps and keyboards are usually 6.3 mm, while most headphones and earphones arrive on a 3.5 mm plug. This adaptor solves both problems at once, converting the size and giving two people somewhere to plug in.
How it is built
The internal connections sit in a resin bath, which holds the joints steady inside the body. The contacts are 24K gold plated. An explanatory silkscreen on the shell states the connection type, so the right adaptor gets picked out of a drawer full of them, and the ergonomic handle gives something to grip when pulling it out of a tight socket.
