The Debut 30E is the fully featured member of Blackstar's Debut line. Two channels and the ISF knob
Clean and Overdrive channels cover the basics. The Infinite Shape Feature then reshapes the whole tone stack: turn it fully counterclockwise for an American character with a tight bottom end and an aggressive middle, or fully clockwise for a British voice that is woodier and less aggressive. It is one knob doing the work of choosing an amp.
Tape style delay on board
The Debut 30E has a one-knob delay with a tape flavour, which is not something you find on most amps at this size. It runs from a simple slapback thump through to long, enveloping echo, and the repeats carry a pleasing warmth and degradation as they fade rather than staying clinically clean.
Speaker emulated output
The speaker emulated output delivers the sound of a miked up cabinet with the volume down. Send it to an audio interface or a PA and you get a usable tone straight away, and the same jack drives headphones for late night practice and tracking without waking anyone.
Playing along
The Audio and Line In sits on the top panel, so plugging in a phone or a laptop to jam with a practice track means reaching down rather than groping around the back. Vintage style cosmetics finish the amp off.
