The FS-10 is the footswitch that opens up a Blackstar ID:Series amp. Without it you are reaching for the front panel. With it you can move between patches, switch effects individually, run the tuner and set tap tempo with your feet, across three separate modes.

  • Patch Mode: switch between 3 banks of 4 patches, the same ones available on the front of the amp, and activate the built-in tuner.
  • Effects Mode: turn individual effects on and off, and reach the tap tempo settings.
  • Navigation Mode: choose from all 128 stored patches, so nothing you have created is out of reach mid-set.
  • LED patch display: tells you where you are without guessing.
  • Indicator lights: per-switch status at a glance on a dark stage.
  • Rugged metal design: built to be stepped on.

If you have programmed sounds into an ID:Series amp and only ever use the four nearest the top, this is the missing piece.

Description

The Blackstar ID:Series FS-10 footswitch is designed to give you unprecedented control of any Blackstar ID:Series amplifier from the floor. It handles patch navigation, individual effect switching, the tuner and tap tempo, and it splits those jobs across three modes so each switch does something sensible in context.

Three modes, three jobs

Patch Mode lets you switch between three banks of four patches, the same ones available on the front of the amp, and activates the built-in tuner. Effects Mode gives you individual on and off control of your effects along with access to tap tempo settings. Navigation Mode opens up all 128 stored patches, which is the mode that matters if you build a lot of sounds and want every one of them reachable.

Why 128 patches changes things

An ID:Series amp stores far more sounds than its front panel can reach quickly. Navigation Mode is the difference between using the handful of patches nearest the top and actually using every sound you have created. For anyone who programs the amp seriously, that alone is the reason to choose the FS-10 over a simple two-button switch.

Built for the floor

The FS-10 uses a rugged metal design with indicator lights and an LED patch display. The display is the practical part, because knowing which bank and patch you are on without crouching down is what makes footswitching workable in a live set rather than a source of mistakes.
