Blackstar HT-212VOC MkII 2 x 12-inch Vertical Slanted Front Extension Cabinet
The HT-212VOC MkII is the vertical, slanted-front 2 x 12-inch cabinet built as the partner for Blackstar's HT MkII amplifiers. The vertical layout puts one speaker closer to ear height on stage, and the angled baffle throws the sound forward rather than at the back of your legs.
- 160 watts, 2 x 12-inch: power handling to sit under an HT MkII head.
- Angled vertical design: for tone and projection toward the player and the room.
- Celestion Seventy 80 speakers: a pair of them, giving defined, controlled lows and punchy, aggressive mids.
- Open or closed back: a removable baffle changes the response of the cabinet.
- 4 and 16 ohm inputs: for flexible matching to your head.
- Built to last: heavy-gauge internal wire and rugged construction throughout.
The HT-212VOC MkII is tailor-made for Blackstar's HT MkII amps. It is a vertical slanted 2 x 12-inch extension cabinet, and both of those words matter: vertical raises one driver toward ear level so you hear what the audience hears, and slanted aims the output forward instead of across the floor.
Celestion Seventy 80 pair
Inside are two Celestion Seventy 80 speakers. They churn out defined, controlled lows and punchy, aggressive mids, which is the balance you want under a high-gain head where a loose bottom end turns to mud. Power handling is 160 watts, with 4 and 16 ohm inputs so the cabinet can be matched to a range of amplifiers.
Open back or closed back, your choice
The MkII uses a switchable open and closed back design. Insert the included baffle into the back panel and you get the tight response of a closed-back cabinet. Remove the baffle and the cabinet opens up for a wider response. It takes seconds, and it means one cabinet covers two quite different jobs rather than committing you at the point of purchase.
Built for the road
Reliability is handled with heavy-gauge internal wire and rugged construction throughout. Combined with the tonal flexibility of the removable baffle, the HT-212VOC MkII works as a long-term partner for an HT MkII amp rather than a stopgap.
