Description

The HT Stage 60 212 MK III is the biggest combo in Blackstar's HT Venue series and the one built for stages rather than desks. Sixty valve watts, three channels and two 12 inch speakers in a single cabinet.

Three channels

The clean channel starts with a 2-band EQ that does far more sculpting than the control count suggests, and a Voice switch that takes it from a high-headroom, American-style chime to a warmer Class A style character that breaks up when driven hard. Then there are two overdrive channels, each with independent Volume and Gain, sharing a 3-band EQ and Blackstar's Infinite Shape Feature. ISF carries you from tight American tones to wooly British ones and all points in between, so the two drive channels can be set well apart from each other.

Power section and speakers

An EL34 power section is where the 60 watts come from, with Master Volume, Presence and Resonance controls sitting globally over the channels for dialling in the overall sound. The two Celestion Seventy 80 speakers give the combo its British lean. Power reduction is switchable, solid and transparent down to 10% of rated output, which keeps the amp usable in a small room.

Recording and connections

CabRig speaker simulation is baked in, giving access to hundreds of mic and cab combinations, and the USB-C output makes recording straightforward. An effects loop handles pedalboard and rack integration, and the onboard digital reverb has two selectable voices. MK III styling adds vintage-style chicken head knobs and a premium metal logo plate.
