Balanced core, two layers of shield
Inside are dual-core 24AWG conductors in 99.95 percent oxygen free copper, wrapped in both braided copper and foil shielding. The braid handles mechanical robustness and low frequency interference while the foil closes off the high frequency gaps, which is what keeps a long run clean when it passes near lighting or power. Blackstar uses braided shielding across its cable range rather than the spiral shielding common on low to mid-level cables, because it is more durable and insulates better.
