Blackstar Polar Go Portable USB-C Audio Interface with Built-in Mics
The Polar Go is a palm sized recording interface that does not need an external microphone to start working. Blackstar's ProCapture technology sits behind a pair of built in stereo mics, and a USB-C connection moves the audio to a computer or a phone without a driver headache.
- ProCapture built in mics: Blackstar's proprietary stereo microphone configuration, so no external mic is required.
- XLR combo input: FET driven, with switchable 48 volt phantom power for condenser mics.
- Direct instrument input: plug a guitar or bass straight into the combo input.
- USB-C connection: transfer audio to macOS, Windows, iOS and Android devices.
- Six hour battery life: with a second USB-C connection available for direct power.
- Works where you work: use it with a DAW, a music platform, or a social and livestream app.
- Polar Go app: capture video, arrange presets and enhance audio at the press of a button.
- Compact design: fits in the palm of your hand.
The Polar Go is Blackstar's answer to the usual trade off between quality, functionality and portability in a recording setup. It gives musicians, podcasters and content creators a full capture chain in something that fits in the palm of your hand.
ProCapture microphone technology
At the centre of the Polar Go are built in stereo mics enhanced with Blackstar's proprietary ProCapture technology. It is a far cry from the recording abilities of even the latest smartphone, keeping the same portability and ease of use while supplying the power needed to capture a range of dynamic audio, from individual vocals, solo instruments and full band sessions through to ASMR content and raucous roundtable discussions.
Inputs and connection
Alongside ProCapture there is a FET driven XLR combo input with switchable 48 volt phantom power, which suits creators recording a guitar or bass directly into the interface as well as those who prefer a microphone from their own collection. A dedicated USB-C connection makes transferring audio to a macOS, Windows, iOS or Android device frictionless, and the Polar Go works directly with a DAW, a music platform, or a social and livestream app.
