Blackstar Standard 6m Instrument Cable, Straight to Straight 1/4-inch Jack
A straight to straight 6m cable for the everyday guitar to amp run. Blackstar built the Standard Series to the same design brief as their Pro cables, benchmarked against the highest quality cables on the market, with heavy duty nickel plated connectors in place of the Pro Series copper tips.

The Standard Series is Blackstar's own workhorse instrument cable, and 6m is the length most players reach for when the amp is across the room or the board sits off to one side of the stage. Both ends are straight 1/4-inch jacks.
Standard Series construction
Blackstar fits heavy duty nickel plated connectors here, with an AWG23 conductor of 99.95 percent oxygen free copper inside for a reliable, low impedance signal. Shielding is braided copper at 90 to 95 percent coverage. Braided shielding is more durable and has better electrical insulation than the spiral shielding you find on most low to mid level cables, and Blackstar modified the internal construction so the cable keeps its softness and flexibility even with the braid in place.
Noise control
A shield ring reduces capacitance and microphonic effect, which is the noise you hear when a cable is stepped on or dragged. The insulating wire is specified for ultra low noise and high RF rejection.
