Six metres is the length you reach for when the amp is behind you and you still want to move. This Standard Series cable has a straight 1/4 inch jack at one end and a 90 degree angled jack at the other, which sits flatter against a guitar or an amp panel where a straight plug would stand proud.

  • Heavy duty nickel plated connectors: straight at one end, angled at the other.
  • AWG23 conductor: 99.95 percent oxygen free copper for a reliable, low impedance signal.
  • 90 to 95 percent braided copper shielding: more durable and better insulated than the spiral shielding found in most low to mid level cables.
  • Shield ring: reduces capacitance and microphonic effect.
  • Insulating wire: ultra low noise and high RF rejection.
  • 6.5mm PVC outer jacket: flexible, hard wearing and less prone to tangling.
  • Hook and loop cable wrap included: packaging is made from 100 percent recyclable material.

Description

Blackstar benchmarked its own cables against the best on the market before putting its name on them, and the Standard Series is the everyday result. This is the 6 metre version with a straight 1/4 inch jack at one end and a 90 degree angled jack at the other.

The long length, and the angled end

Six metres gives you room to walk away from the amp or to reach a backline position without stretching the lead tight. The angled plug is the practical choice at the end that faces a guitar or a crowded amp panel, because it turns the cable run through ninety degrees instead of leaving a plug sticking straight out.

Braided shielding and a clean signal

Standard Series cables use 90 to 95 percent braided copper shielding rather than the spiral shielding common at this level. Braid is more durable and insulates better electrically. The internal construction has been modified so the cable keeps its softness and flexibility, and a shield ring reduces capacitance and microphonic effect. The conductor is AWG23 at 99.95 percent oxygen free copper, and an insulating wire keeps noise low with high RF rejection.

Connectors and jacket

Heavy duty nickel plated connectors are fitted at both ends. The 6.5mm PVC outer jacket increases flexibility and durability and helps reduce cable tangle, which matters more at six metres than it does at one and a half.

Packaging

Packaging is made from 100 percent recyclable material, and a hook and loop cable wrap is included so the cable can be coiled and stowed properly.
