The U700H is the top of the Unity Bass range and it is built to fill a room. Seven hundred watts of output sits behind a preamp that carries almost all the tone shaping a bass player normally spreads across a pedalboard, and it arrives with a 2-channel footswitch and a gig bag.

From high headroom to high gain
It starts with Blackstar's Response control, which gives you the choice of three classic power amp stages: Linear, 6L6 and 6550. Each one changes the compression characteristics, natural drive and dynamics of the amp. Three preamp voicings, Classic, Modern and Flat, set the front end, and the Drive section carries three overdrives, OD, Distortion and Fuzz, with a user controllable blend so the clean low end survives underneath the dirt.
EQ and effects
A 3-band EQ with a semi-parametric Mid knob supplies plenty of sound sculpting power, which is where most of the work happens when you are fitting a bass into a live mix. Built-in compression, chorus and sub-octave effects then add punch, movement and low end weight without anything on the floor.
Connectivity for stage, studio and home
The U700H is packed with connections. There is an XLR line output and a headphone output with independent level control, a -10dB pad that accommodates both active and passive instruments, and an MP3 and line input for practice. An effects loop integrates your pedals and external processors.
Recording and what comes with it
A cabinet emulated line output and a USB audio output make DI recording simple, whether you are feeding a bass cab on stage or using the head as a front end in the studio. A 2-channel footswitch and a gig bag are included.
