Carry-On FP88 Folding 88-Key Digital Piano with Built-in Speakers, White
The FP88 is a full length 88-key piano that folds down to a compact, lightweight package. It plays through its own stereo speakers and runs on an internal rechargeable battery, so you can practise without an amplifier or a wall socket nearby.
- 88 keys: lightweight and compact when closed, a full length 88-key piano when opened out.
- Built-in stereo speakers: listen live with nothing else connected.
- Headphone output: stereo 3.5mm out for silent practice. The same socket can feed the line input of an external speaker when you want to play loud.
- 128 voices: a built-in sound engine covering 128 sounds.
- 128 accompaniments: custom backings that cover a variety of playing styles.
- Metronome: 6 accent settings.
- 30 demo songs: specially composed to give a wide range of practice accompaniments.
- MIDI over USB: direct-to-device connection for computers and software instruments.
- Battery: internal USB rechargeable Li-ion cell, up to 8 hours of life on a full charge.
- Included: sustain pedal, USB charging cable and a travel tote bag, which is supplied with the 88-key model.
An 88-key piano is the right size to play and the wrong size to carry. The Carry-On FP88 answers that with a folding design: the keyboard closes into a compact, lightweight shape for transport, then opens out to a full length 88 keys when you are ready to play.
Ready to play without a setup
The built-in stereo speaker system means you hear yourself as soon as the piano is unfolded, and the internal Li-ion battery recharges over USB and gives up to 8 hours of life on a full charge. Practice is not tied to a mains socket. For quiet sessions the stereo 3.5mm headphone output takes an ordinary pair of headphones, and the same output can be plugged into the line-in of an external speaker when you need more volume than the onboard speakers give.
Sounds and practice tools
The built-in sound engine holds 128 voices, and there are 128 custom accompaniments alongside them so you can practise against a variety of playing styles rather than a single backing. The metronome has 6 accent settings. The 30 demo songs were specially composed to offer a wide range of practice accompaniments.
Working with a computer or mobile device
MIDI over USB gives direct-to-device functionality, so the FP88 doubles as a controller for a DAW or a software piano when you are at a desk, then goes back to being a standalone instrument when you unplug it.
What comes with it
A sustain pedal and a USB charging cable are included. The handy travel tote bag is supplied with the 88-key model.
