The smallest model in the Genelec 8000 Series, the 8010A packs a genuine 2-way active design into a cabinet that fits on a desk beside a laptop. It is the monitor for a small studio, a mobile rig, or a broadcast van where space is the constraint, not ambition. Finished in Black.
Small footprint, real monitor
A 3 inch woofer and 3/4 inch metal dome tweeter, each on their own Class-D amplifier, are built into a die cast aluminium Minimum Diffraction Enclosure. The rounded profile and Directivity Control Waveguide keep the sound uncoloured on and off axis, so what is heard at the desk holds up elsewhere.
Tuned to the room you have
Rear panel switches for bass tilt and desktop response bring the 8010A under control on a reflective desk or close to a wall, without a calibration kit. Intelligent Signal Sensing drops the monitor into standby when idle.
The Black finish
Black is the standard finish for the 8010A, matching the rest of the 8000 Series black cabinets in a studio.
