Part of the acclaimed 8000 Series, this white-finish variant (denoted by "WM") of the 8020D model, launched in 2017, combines cutting-edge technology with a sleek, modern aesthetic. Crafted with a Minimum Diffraction Enclosure (MDE) made of die-cast aluminum, the 8020DWM boasts rounded edges and a curved design by Finnish designer Harri Koskinen to minimize edge diffraction and ensure uncolored sound. Measuring just 242 mm x 151 mm x 142 mm (9.5 x 6 x 5.6 inches) and weighing 3.2 kg (7 lbs), its robust build eliminates cabinet resonances while the white finish enhances studio aesthetics. A rear bass reflex port boosts low-end performance, and the included Iso-Pod stand reduces vibrations while allowing tilt adjustments.
The monitor features a 4-inch woofer and a 0.75-inch metal dome tweeter, each powered by a 50W Class-D amplifier (100W total), delivering a frequency response of 62 Hz - 20 kHz (±2.5 dB) and an extended range of 56 Hz - 25 kHz (-6 dB). The Directivity Control Waveguide (DCW) ensures precise sound dispersion, creating a wide, accurate sweet spot. With a maximum SPL of 100 dB (107 dB peak per pair), it excels at handling dynamic content with clarity and depth.
Advanced features include Intelligent Signal Sensing (ISS) for energy efficiency (<0.5W in standby), adjustable room response controls (bass roll-off, tilt, desktop settings), and built-in protection circuitry.
