The 8050B is the 8 inch model in the Genelec 8000 Series, built for larger rooms and longer listening distances where a nearfield monitor runs out of headroom. Finished in the Dark Grey Producer finish.
Power in abundance
An 8 inch woofer and 25 mm metal dome tweeter are driven by 150W and 120W Class AB amplifiers respectively, reaching down to 32 Hz and up to 120 dB peak SPL. That is enough headroom to check a mix at real working level in a bigger space without the monitor compressing or straining.
Still a Genelec, at scale
The same die cast aluminium Minimum Diffraction Enclosure and Directivity Control Waveguide that define the smaller 8000 Series models carry through here, so the 8050B keeps a wide, accurate sweet spot even at this size. Room response compensation switches tune it to the space it is working in.
The Dark Grey Producer finish
Producer grey is the alternative finish to a standard black or white cabinet, the same monitor underneath.
