The B2+ is an 88-note digital piano in white, built on Korg's NH keyboard with speakers on board. Twelve sounds cover acoustic pianos, electric pianos and organs, and the carton holds a music stand, a damper pedal and a power adapter. It suits a first instrument at home, or a quiet corner set aside for daily practice.
Full range, 120 notes of polyphony
Keys run the whole way from A0 to C8, so nothing in the repertoire falls off the end. Korg fits its NH action here. With 120 notes of polyphony, there is headroom for heavy pedal work and layered voicings. Little gets cut short mid-phrase.
Twelve voices across four families
Two acoustic pianos anchor the set. One is Italian, bright and long-sustaining, and the other German, ranging from delicate low detail up to brilliant highs. Beside them sit jazz, ballad and classical variants. Electric piano voices shift tone with your playing strength and reproduce the sound of a key being released, while the organs cover rock and jazz registrations plus a recorded pipe instrument.
Plug into a phone, tablet or computer
A USB Type-C port carries MIDI and audio in both directions. Connect a laptop or handset and the instrument becomes a controller for software sounds, records what you play as data, or pushes audio from the device back out through its own speakers. The cable is sold separately, and some iPhone or iPad setups also want a Lightning to USB camera adapter. A separate audio input jack takes the headphone output of a phone or music player.
Speakers for practice and for listening
Behind the panel sit two oval drivers of 10 cm by 5 cm, driven at 15 watts a side. That is enough for a room. Feed a backing track through the audio input and play along with it, or leave the piano switched on and use it to listen when you are not at the keys.
What comes with it
Three months of Skoove Premium are included, which opens up more than 500 lessons and courses along with a song library of over 800 arrangements running from classical pieces to chart hits. Korg pairs the instrument with its Module app for iOS as well, a sound library of grands and studio keyboards for stage or production work. An AC adapter, music stand, damper pedal and owner's manual are in the box. Sold separately are the STB1 stand and the PU-2 pedal unit, which supports half-pedalling.
