The CM400 is a clip-on contact microphone in white, made to fasten straight onto an instrument and feed a tuner. Because it senses vibration through the body rather than the air around it, a noisy band room matters far less. Handy for rehearsals and pit work.
Fitting it to your instrument
Jaws on the clip open to 30 mm, which covers a headstock or a similar mounting point without much fuss. Total weight comes to 35 g, so nothing is thrown off balance once it is attached. Clip on, tune, take it off.
Cable and connection
A 1.5 m lead runs from the clip to a 3.5 mm monaural mini plug, ready for the input jack on a compatible tuner. That length is enough to keep it on a stand while you play seated. Nothing needs powering.
