Crystal is the anniversary edition of the microKORG, marking two decades of the compact synthesizer and vocoder that put the line on so many stages. The vocoder side runs from the condenser microphone supplied in the box. It suits anyone wanting synth sounds and vocal processing from one small unit.
Synth and vocoder together
Plug the included microphone in and your voice becomes the character of the sound rather than the melody. The same panel covers ordinary synth duties once you set the mic aside. Two jobs, one instrument.
Light enough to carry
Korg quotes 2.4 kg for the instrument alone, excluding the microphone. That is light enough to carry on public transport. An AC adapter is in the box for studio work.
What comes with it
Korg supplies the condenser microphone needed for vocoding, so nothing extra is required to get started. A transparent carry bag is included as well. Both are made for this model.
