Mackie C200 10-Inch Compact Passive PA Loudspeaker
The C200 is the compact 10-inch member of the Mackie C-Series, and it is a passive box on purpose. There is no amplifier module and no power cable to run, so it takes its power from a mixer or amp you already own and fits into a rig you have already built.

Powered speakers get most of the attention, but a passive cabinet still makes sense when the amplification already exists, when the speaker position has no convenient mains outlet, or when a single rack amp needs to drive several boxes at once. The Mackie C200 is built for exactly that situation in a compact 10-inch cabinet.
The same family sound, without the amp module
C-Series loudspeakers carry over the sound Mackie developed for the SRM Series powered speakers into a passive design. Inside are custom designed high-output drivers and a precision tuned asymmetrical crossover, which is what gives the box its natural, high-fidelity character rather than a hyped shape. Dispersion is deliberately wide, so coverage holds up in a room where people are not all standing directly on axis.
Ways to use it
- Build a band PA with a pair of C200 cabinets and a Mackie PPM Series powered mixer.
- Add them to an existing system that already has amplifier headroom to spare.
- Run several from an FRS Series amplifier for a floor monitor setup across a stage.

Build and mounting
The cabinet is a rugged molded shell built to survive load-ins, which Mackie describes as Built-Like-A-Tank. It is fully flyable for install work, and a C200 bracket kit is available for wall or ceiling mounting. An SPM200 pole covers stand mounting, and a padded speaker bag shared with the SRM350 is available if the cabinet is going in and out of a vehicle every week.
