The SRT215 is the 15 inch SRT, built for bands, DJs, singer songwriters and venues that need volume and clarity with very little setup time. Its party trick is SRT Mix Control, a 4-channel digital mixer inside the cabinet, so a duo can turn up with two speakers and no separate desk at all.

  • 1600W Class-D amplifier with transparent system limiting and protection against power surges and loud pops
  • SRT Mix Control built-in 4-channel digital mixer with Bluetooth
  • Complete wireless control through the SRT Connect app
  • Wireless link between 2 SRT speakers for music streaming plus control
  • Advanced Impulse DSP tuning for consistent, accurate sound gig to gig
  • Custom transducers and SymX horn for clarity and accuracy
  • Dual-angle pole mount plus an angled cabinet for use as a floor monitor

Sometimes soundcheck is the first song. The combination of onboard mixing, app control and DSP tuning is aimed squarely at that, getting a room sounding right in a hurry and having it behave the same way at the next venue.

Description

The SRT215 is a 15 inch professional powered loudspeaker with 1600 watts behind it, and Mackie built it around the reality that most gigs do not include a proper soundcheck.

The mixer is built in

SRT Mix Control is a 4-channel digital mixer inside the speaker, with Bluetooth on board. The SRT Connect app then gives complete wireless control, so you can walk the room and adjust from where the audience is standing rather than from behind the rig. Two SRT speakers can be linked wirelessly for music streaming and control, which covers the small stereo setup without running a signal cable across the floor.

Advanced Impulse DSP

Mackie's filtering technology aims to remove the anomalies that loudspeakers and horns add to a signal, from honkiness and squelch to mushy low end, effectively making the drivers invisible. It works by measuring the frequency response and time domain effects each transducer and horn introduces, on axis and off axis, then correcting for them before the signal reaches the speaker. FIR filtering is applied across the full dispersion zone, horizontally and vertically, as well as across frequency and time.

Amplifier and protection

The 1600W Class-D amplifier includes transparent system limiting and protection, guarding against power surges and against the loud pop that arrives when somebody forgets the mute button. Custom transducers and the SymX horn handle the acoustic side.

Front of house or monitor

A dual-angle pole mount covers main duty on a stand, and the angled cabinet design lets you lay the SRT215 down as a floor monitor when the setup calls for it.
