Mackie Thump215XT 15 inch 1400W Powered Loudspeaker with Bluetooth
The Thump215XT is the 15 inch model in the enhanced ThumpXT range, and the woofer size is the reason to choose it. Fifteen inches moves considerably more air than a 12, which is what you want for DJ sets, club work and anything where the low end is the point rather than an accompaniment.
- 1400W ultra-efficient Class-D amplifier driving a 15 inch high-performance woofer and a 1 inch compression driver.
- All-new cabinet that is Built-Like-A-Tank for gigging while staying light enough to load in without a crew.
- Wireless streaming and control through the Thump Connect 2 app, covering system EQ, voicing modes, channel levels and application-specific presets.
- Speaker linking: pair two ThumpXT speakers over Bluetooth for Stereo or Dual Zone playback, with app control of both.
- Application-specific voicing modes plus separate Indoor and Outdoor modes to suit the space you are in.
- Feedback Eliminator deals with problem frequencies so you can push the vocal further.
- Music Ducking: one button drops the music under an announcement on channel 2 instead of riding faders every time.
- Mounting: standard pole mount, monitor wedge angle, and M10 flypoints for rigging.
The Thump Series has been the working DJ and band speaker for years, and Thump215XT is the enhanced version of the 15 inch model. More time-saving features, plenty of power, and an all-new cabinet, aimed at DJs, bands and clubs that want professional output without a professional invoice.
Why 15 inch
A 15 inch high-performance woofer is the largest driver in the range, and the extra cone area is what produces the low end Thump speakers are known for. Paired with a 1 inch compression driver and a 1400W ultra-efficient Class-D amplifier, it is built for the moment the dance floor fills up. If your work is mainly speech or an acoustic duo, a smaller Thump is the sensible choice. If it is a DJ set, a club night or a band that needs the kick and bass to land, this is the size to buy.
Control from your phone
Rather than reaching behind the cabinet, the Thump Connect 2 app handles everything from a phone. System EQ, voicing modes, channel levels and application-specific presets are all adjustable while you stand out in the room hearing what the audience hears. Music streams wirelessly to the speaker as well, so a DJ can move around the floor while playing. Two ThumpXT speakers can be linked over Bluetooth to stream to both in Stereo or Dual Zone mode, with the app controlling the pair.
Features that save time on the night
Application-specific voicing modes tune the speaker for the job, and separate Indoor and Outdoor modes account for whether there are walls returning energy to you or not. The Feedback Eliminator handles ringing frequencies so a vocal mic can sit further forward. Music Ducking is the one that gets used most at events: with music playing loud and an announcement due, one button press drops channel 2 under the microphone automatically instead of you reaching for faders every time.
Cabinet and rigging
The all-new cabinet is Built-Like-A-Tank to survive repeated gigs, while staying lightweight enough for easy loading. Mounting options cover a standard pole mount for stand use, a monitor wedge angle for stage use, and M10 flypoints for permanent or temporary rigging, so the same box works for a mobile rig and an installed system.
