The GLXD6+ is a pint-sized receiver, so it claims one slot rather than a rack or a stand clamp, and the extra bandwidth from Dual Band operation means there is more spectrum to find a clean channel in a busy venue.
The GLXD16+ puts your wireless where the rest of your signal chain already lives. Drop the pint-sized GLXD6+ receiver into the first slot of your pedalboard, power it up, and it gets on with finding a clean channel while you play. A lightweight bodypack, a premium instrument cable and a tuner on the receiver complete the system.
A receiver that belongs on the board
Because the GLXD6+ is a pedal, there is no separate rack unit and nothing clamped to a mic stand. Put it first in the chain, clip the bodypack to your strap, and the layout of your rig barely changes from the cabled version.
Dual Band operation across 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz
GLX-D+ works in both the 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz ranges, which is more than double the bandwidth of a single band system. Under the hood the receiver constantly scans both ranges and keeps multiple backup frequencies in reserve, then switches seamlessly if it meets interference. In a venue full of phones and wi-fi, that is the difference between a dropout and nobody noticing.
Tuner on board
The GLXD6+ has a tuner built into the receiver, so the pedal you are already installing covers tuning duties and frees a slot for something else.
Up to 12 hours of playing time
The GLX-D+ series has a maximum battery life of 12 hours in 5.8GHz operation, a solid improvement on the original GLX-D and enough to cover load-in, soundcheck and a long night.
Nothing to coordinate
Once the system is powered up it manages frequency selection for you. That suits players new to wireless as much as it suits engineers who have better things to do than RF planning before every set.
