The Nexadyne 8/C is a cardioid handheld dynamic built around Shure's Revonic dual-engine transducer design. Two transducers working out of phase cancel mechanical vibration, which is what gives the mic its clarity and projection.

  • Polar pattern: standard cardioid, for general vocal duty on stage, in worship spaces and in presentations.
  • Revonic dual-engine transducer: vibration cancellation for an ultra-clear signal with less self-noise.
  • Acoustic signal optimisation: a strong response out of the box, so less EQ correction on the way to the mix.
  • High resistance to feedback and ambient disturbance.
  • Dent-resistant grille protecting the internals.
  • Supplied with a microphone clip stand adapter and a protective zipper case.

It is a sensible pick for touring performance, presentations and house of worship work, where one microphone has to cover several kinds of voice without being re-EQ'd each time.

Description

The Nexadyne 8/C is Shure's cardioid handheld for vocals, and the interesting part is under the grille. Instead of one transducer, it uses the Revonic dual-engine design, and that changes what the microphone hands you before you touch a channel strip.

How the dual-engine transducer works

The Nexadyne runs its two transducers out of phase with each other. Mechanical vibration reaching the capsule is common to both, so it cancels, which strips out self-noise interference and leaves a cleaner signal. Alongside that, the capsule's acoustic signal optimisation produces a stronger response with little ambient disturbance, meaning fewer EQ corrections between the mic and your final mix.

Cardioid pickup for general vocal duty

The standard cardioid pattern makes the 8/C the more general purpose of the two Nexadyne 8 models. It suits touring performance, presentations and house of worship environments, anywhere you want a dependable vocal mic that does not fight the room.

Built to be handed around

High resistance to feedback and to audial disturbances makes the 8/C easy to hand to a guest speaker or a support act. The dent-resistant grille keeps the internals safe from the knocks that handheld mics inevitably collect.

Ready out of the case

An included microphone clip stand adapter and a protective zipper case mean the mic goes from box to stand in seconds, and travels safely between rooms afterwards.
