Choose this over the SM58 version when the stage is loud. The Beta 58A capsule is supercardioid, so it hears less of the wedges and the band and gives you more level before the system starts to ring.

  • Capsule: Beta 58A with a uniform supercardioid pattern.
  • Why it matters: outstanding gain before feedback and superior off-axis rejection.
  • Voicing: frequency response tailor-made for vocals.
  • Transmitter: SLXD2+ handheld, rugged metal construction.
  • Receiver: SLXD4+ 1-channel half-rackmount, 138MHz tuning range.
  • Audio: 24-bit digital, 20Hz-20kHz, 118dB dynamic range.
  • Band: G66.

ShowLink Ease gives real-time remote control and monitoring of the transmitter, IR scan and synchronisation handle pairing, and digital predictive switching diversity keeps the signal strong when the RF environment is not.

Description

The SLXD24+/B58 is the same single channel SLX-D+ system as the SM58 version with a different capsule on the transmitter, and that capsule is the reason to buy it.

The Beta 58A capsule

A uniform supercardioid pattern gives the Beta 58A outstanding gain before feedback and superior off-axis rejection, which is exactly what a vocalist needs when they are standing between two monitors in front of a loud band. Its frequency response is tailor-made for vocals, so it does not need much help to sit forward in a mix.

Handheld transmitter built for the road

The SLXD2+ transmitter uses rugged metal construction, so the physical experience matches a wired handheld and it survives being passed around, put down and picked up again.

SLXD4+ single channel receiver

Half a rack space holds a receiver with a 138MHz tuning range, wide enough to work in practically any RF environment however crowded. Most regions offer 32 available channels per frequency band, and digital predictive switching diversity keeps the signal strong when conditions are not ideal.

Clean digital audio

Transparent 24-bit digital audio, a 20Hz-20kHz frequency range and 118dB of dynamic range produce high-resolution detail and an outstanding signal-to-noise ratio, so the supercardioid detail actually survives the trip to the desk.

Setup and control

IR scan and synchronisation pair transmitter and receiver in seconds. ShowLink Ease then provides real-time wireless remote control and monitoring, letting you scan for new channels or ride settings from the desk. Third-party control devices from AMX, Crestron and others are supported for installed systems.

Supplied in the G66 frequency band.
