The TASCAM SS-R250N is a professional-grade two-channel solid-state recorder and player designed for permanent installation and networked environments. Combining reliability, high-resolution audio performance, and advanced automation features, it is the perfect solution for houses of worship, broadcast stations, conference rooms, theaters, and any facility requiring scheduled recording or playback.
Equipped with dual SD card slots and a USB port, the SS-R250N supports mirror recording (simultaneous backup) and relay recording (continuous extended sessions). It records and plays back up to 24-bit/96 kHz WAV/BWF and MP3 formats with pristine quality. The built-in FTP client enables automatic uploading of recorded files to a designated server and scheduled downloading of playback material—greatly simplifying daily workflows.
Create customizable Event Lists to automate complex sequences of recording, playback, file transfers, and more at precise times or intervals. Additional pro features include Auto Cue, Auto Ready, Ducking (automatic volume reduction of playback when input is detected), incremental play, and time-skip functions.
Network control via Ethernet allows remote operation through a web browser or the free TASCAM SS250 Control app (iOS/Android). Telnet/RS-232C serial control is also supported for integration with existing systems. The included wireless remote (RC-10) and front-panel controls provide instant local access.
