The BC108 was designed as the companion cabinet for the MV50, and it does a specific job. It enhances the low-frequency range so a small head produces a rich, full guitar tone rather than a thin one, and it does that at any volume you are working at.
A front-mounted 8-inch speaker
The specially designed 8-inch speaker is mounted from the front of the baffle. That allows for clearer tone and a wider dispersion of sound than a rear-mounted driver in the same box.
Semi-open back
The cabinet uses a semi-open back structure. The result is a tighter sound, and the difference shows up most clearly in the low frequency range where small cabinets usually get loose.
Compact, but not quiet
It is small and light enough to move around without thinking about it, and it still puts out plenty of volume. For practice at home it is well matched to what you actually need.
