Description

Released in the 1960s, the teardrop-shaped Mark VI guitar was loved by a lot of musicians, and the shape still turns heads. The Mark III mini is that outline in a compact format, with the sound and feel of a full-sized electric guitar. Play your favourite riffs at the park, on the train or on the tour bus.

A short scale that still plays like a guitar

The neck is a 476 mm short scale, three-quarters the scale length of a standard guitar. Fitted with heavy-gauge strings it takes standard tuning, E1, B2, G3, D4, A5 and E6, at normal tension. The nut is the same size as a full-sized guitar, which is the detail that keeps the feel honest.

Custom pegs for smooth tuning

Short scale instruments are notoriously fiddly to tune. Vox developed custom tuning pegs with an adjusted gear ratio to match this scale length, so tuning is as smooth and accurate as it is on a full-sized instrument.

Single-coil pickups, classic Vox tone

Two single-coil pickups deliver the smooth sounds of the 1960s, and a selector switch moves between them for a wider range than a one-pickup travel guitar can manage.

Loud Red

The Mark III mini comes in three colours. Marble is a vivid, energetic design over a white base. Aqua Green is fresh and cool. Loud Red, this one, is the bright and fiery option.

A first guitar, or a travel guitar

The shorter scale and smaller body make this a sensible first guitar for children, and parents passing on the rock music they grew up with will find it fits small hands properly. For everyone else, pair it with an amPlug or a VGH series headphone amp and it becomes a travel rig you can use in a hotel room.
