A modern evolution of the Valvetronix idea
Since the series first appeared in the early 2000s, Valvetronix amps have paired VET modeling with a tube-fuelled preamp. The VT20X Classic Blue keeps what players liked about the earlier VT models, including the hybrid design, the bass-reflex cabinet and the software integration, then uses newer technology to improve the playing experience.
VET+ modeling and tube integration
Improved VET+ modeling works at circuit level and produces tubelike dynamics and response, giving smoother and harmonically richer tones through the crunch and light overdrive settings. An optimised balance between the DSP and the tube reinvigorates the tube drive, so rolling back your guitar volume moves you from crunch to clean smoothly rather than in a step. The tube-fuelled design also supplies natural compression.
Editing and connectivity
USB connectivity and the Vox Tone Room software open up deep editing of the onboard sounds, which turns the amp into a creative hub rather than a fixed set of presets.
