Vox VXT-1 Strobe Pedal Tuner
The VXT-1 is Vox's first pedal tuner and it goes straight for strobe accuracy in a stompbox sized housing. The diamond-shaped LED display is high visibility with the note name shown large in the centre.

Three display modes matter more than they sound. Strobe is for precision, Diamond is the familiar left and right needle behaviour, and Vertical is the fastest to read at a glance on a dark stage.
Simple, accurate and stompbox sized. The VXT-1 is Vox's first pedal tuner and it delivers the accuracy of a traditional strobe tuner without the bulky housing that usually comes with one. A high-visibility diamond-shaped LED display carries the note name prominently in the centre, and the tuner resolves down to plus or minus 0.02 cents, which matches the accuracy of the original 12-wheel mechanical strobe tuners.
Strobe mode
Traditional strobe tuners use mechanical wheels and flashing lights to show pitch. Extremely accurate, and easy to misread. The VXT-1 works on the same principle but uses its LED display to do it. The diamond meter rotates clockwise when you are sharp and counter-clockwise when you are flat. When it stops moving, you are in tune. This is the mode for hunting down the smallest inaccuracies.
Diamond mode
In Diamond mode the VXT-1 behaves like a conventional pedalboard tuner. A lit left corner means the note is flat. Once the LEDs travel to the right corner you have gone sharp. When the top angle lights and the blue LED comes on, you are in tune.
Vertical mode
Vertical mode is a simplified version of the same idea. The top half of the diamond lights when you are sharp and the bottom half when you are flat. Get the left and right angles lit with the blue LED on and you are ready to play.
Offset tuning modes
Ten offset tuning modes let you tune to different scales and find harmonious resonances for a specific instrument. They cover chromatic tuning, electric and acoustic guitar, bass guitar and open tunings.
Powering the rest of the board
A buffered DC output lets the VXT-1 supply power to other pedals in your signal chain, which removes one power supply from the board or frees up an output on the one you already run.
