The Yamaha CZR10 Loudspeaker is a premium 2-way passive speaker engineered for exceptional audio performance, versatility, and durability. Part of Yamaha’s acclaimed CZR Series, this loudspeaker combines a lightweight design (just 30.9 lbs / 14 kg) with high power handling—350W RMS, 700W Program, and 1400W Peak in passive mode—making it perfect for live performances, DJ setups, theater productions, and fixed installations.
Featuring a 10-inch low-frequency (LF) woofer with a 3-inch voice coil and die-cast aluminum frame, paired with a 2-inch high-frequency (HF) compression driver with a titanium diaphragm and neodymium magnet, the CZR10 delivers punchy bass and vivid highs. Its frequency response of 43 Hz to 20 kHz (-10 dB) ensures rich low-end output and crystal-clear treble, while a maximum SPL of 127 dB (131 dB HF in bi-amp mode) fills medium-sized venues with ease. The rotatable constant directivity (CD) horn offers 90° horizontal by 60° vertical dispersion (or vice versa as a floor monitor), minimizing roll-off and providing smooth, even sound coverage.
The CZR10’s rugged plywood enclosure, coated with scratch-resistant polyurea, is built to withstand the rigors of touring and permanent setups alike. Dual-angle pole sockets (0° and -7°), eight M10 and two M8 rigging points, and optional U-brackets (sold separately) offer flexible mounting options, while dual Neutrik speakON NL4MP connectors enable easy daisy-chaining and support both passive and bi-amp configurations (8 ohms passive; 8 ohms LF, 16 ohms HF in bi-amp). For floor monitoring, a 50° angle and mirrored setup optimize stage use.
For best results, pair the CZR10 with a DSP-equipped amplifier like Yamaha’s PX Series or an external processor to fine-tune crossovers and EQ. When combined with CXS XLF Series subwoofers, it extends lows to 29 Hz, enhancing its versatility for diverse applications. Additional features include a wide-dispersion CD waveguide horn, an optional SPCVR-DZR10 cover, and a sleek black finish (white CZR10W option available).
