The Yamaha CZR12 Loudspeaker is a versatile, high-performance 2-way passive speaker designed to meet the demands of live sound reinforcement, mobile DJ setups, and permanent installations. Part of Yamaha’s CZR Series, this loudspeaker combines exceptional sonic clarity, robust power handling, and a portable, rugged design. With a compact bass-reflex enclosure crafted from premium plywood and coated in a durable polyurea finish, the CZR12 weighs just 39.7 lbs (18 kg) and measures 16.1" W x 25.4" H x 15.5" D (410 mm x 646 mm x 394 mm). It features two ergonomic handles for easy transport and a professional appearance in black (standard) or white (optional CZR12W).
The CZR12 is equipped with a 12-inch woofer featuring a 3-inch voice coil and neodymium magnet for powerful, low-distortion bass, paired with a 2-inch compression driver with a 1-inch throat and titanium diaphragm for crisp, natural highs. Yamaha’s Wide Dispersion Constant Directivity Horn delivers smooth 90° horizontal x 60° vertical coverage and is rotatable for flexible horizontal or vertical mounting. The speaker supports passive (400W RMS, 800W Program, 1600W Peak) and bi-amp modes (LF: 400W RMS, HF: 50W RMS), with a frequency range of 43 Hz to 20 kHz (-10 dB) and a maximum SPL of 129 dB (passive) or 131 dB (bi-amp HF).
Connectivity is seamless with two Neutrik speakON NL4MP connectors, enabling daisy-chaining or bi-amp operation with a single 4-pole cable. Mounting options include dual-angle pole sockets (0° and -7°), twelve M10 rigging points for suspension, and a 50° monitor angle for stage use. Pair it with Yamaha PX Series amplifiers or compatible DSP processors for optimized tuning, including crossover, EQ, and integration with CXS XLF subwoofers (down to 29 Hz). An optional SPCVR-DZR12 cover enhances protection.
