The Yamaha DXR15mkII 15" 2-Way Powered Loudspeaker is a high-performance audio solution engineered for live sound applications, delivering exceptional power, clarity, and versatility. As an upgraded model in Yamaha’s acclaimed DXR mkII Series, this loudspeaker combines cutting-edge technology with a durable design, making it an ideal choice for musicians, DJs, sound engineers, and venues requiring professional-grade audio reinforcement.
Powered by a 1,100W peak (700W continuous) Class-D amplifier, the DXR15mkII achieves a class-leading maximum sound pressure level (SPL) of 134 dB, paired with a wide frequency response of 49 Hz to 20 kHz. Its 15-inch low-frequency woofer delivers deep, defined bass and robust mids, while the upgraded 1.75-inch neodymium high-frequency compression driver ensures crisp, accurate highs with enhanced vocal clarity. The lightweight neodymium design reduces the speaker’s overall weight to 21.8 kg (48 lbs) without compromising performance.

The DXR15mkII features advanced DSP processing, including FIR-X tuning with linear-phase filters for seamless crossover transitions and D-Contour, a dynamic multiband processor that optimizes tonal balance for front-of-house (FOH/MAIN) or floor monitoring (MONITOR) applications. Built-in protection circuits safeguard the amplifiers and transducers during high-output use, ensuring long-term reliability. The constant-directivity horn provides 90° horizontal x 60° vertical coverage, projecting sound evenly across wide areas.
A versatile 3-channel mixer on the rear panel includes XLR, 1/4", and RCA inputs, allowing direct connection of microphones, instruments, or line-level sources without an external mixer. An XLR link output enables easy expansion to additional speakers. The rugged ABS enclosure minimizes resonance and distortion, while a heavy-duty steel grille protects the drivers. Ergonomic handles enhance portability, and flexible mounting options—dual-angle pole socket (0° or 7°), M10 rigging points, and an optional U-bracket—support various setups, including suspended installations and mirror-mode floor monitoring.
Developed in collaboration with NEXO, the DXR15mkII excels in applications like live music, speeches, worship services, and studio installations. Pair it with Yamaha DXS Series subwoofers for extended low-end performance. With its raw power, pristine sound, and professional features, this loudspeaker is a standout choice for mobile performers and fixed venues alike.
