The CBF-1SP is the carrying bag Zoom made for the F1-SP. It is a padded shell rather than a soft pouch, so the recorder travels without collecting knocks or scratches on the way to a shoot.

  • Made for the F1-SP: shaped around the F1 field recorder instead of being a generic pouch it happens to fit.
  • Padded shell: protects the recorder from shock as well as from scratches in a bag or in transit.
  • Holds the accessories too: room for the shotgun microphone, windscreen, shock mount and stereo mini cable alongside the recorder.
  • Small parts stay together: AAA batteries and a microSD card pack into the same case, so nothing gets left on a desk.
  • One item to grab: the whole F1-SP kit lives in a single case, which makes packing quick and makes a missing piece obvious.

Supplied as the carrying bag on its own. The F1-SP recorder, microphone and accessories are not included.

Description

The CBF-1SP is a dedicated case for the Zoom F1-SP, the two track recorder that ships with a shotgun microphone. It is built as a padded shell, which is the difference between a bag that stops scratches and a bag that also absorbs a drop.

What it protects

Field recorders spend most of their life in a bag with other gear, and the parts that suffer are the ones that stick out. The CBF-1SP puts padding between the F1 and everything else, with particular benefit to the microphone and the screen. Because Zoom builds the case specifically for the F1-SP, the recorder sits in it properly rather than sliding around the way it would in a generic pouch.

Room for the whole kit

The case is sized to take the F1 along with a set of accessories. That covers the shotgun microphone, the windscreen, the shock mount and the stereo mini cable, plus the small consumables that are easiest to forget, such as AAA batteries and a microSD card. Keeping all of it together means a job starts with one item to pick up rather than five, and a quick look tells you whether anything is missing before you leave.

Who it suits

Anyone using an F1-SP away from a desk. In practice that means video work, interviews, documentary shooting and location sound for small crews, where the recorder gets packed and unpacked several times a day.

What you get

The carrying bag alone. The F1-SP recorder, its shotgun microphone and the accessories shown in use are sold separately.
